Naturopathic medicine is whole-person approach tailor-made to the individual. It is based not on what makes us similar to each other such as our medical diagnosis, but on what makes us unique – our individual symptoms, lifestyle, history, and life goals. The naturopathic perspective is based on restoring balance and developing greater resilience in those key systems of body and mind that must function smoothly in order to achieve and maintain well-being and prevent future illness.
Both external and internal factors are vital for our health. External factors include our interaction with the physical environment (what we eat, drink, and breathe) and the physical structure of our bodies, and key processes that need to be addressed at this level are digestion and other organ function, inflammation, toxicity, and hormonal balance. The internal factors at the mental, emotional and spiritual levels come into play when illness persists despite an optimal environment and lifestyle.
I employ a combination of nutrition and supplementation, coaching, neurofeedback, and homeopathy, customizing my approach to each individual patient. Conditions I treat include:
